About Lifemeter Comics
Life Meter is a collection of comics and cartoon art inspired by our love of videogames. It is intended to showcase illustrated tributes in a vast range of unique art styles, while maintaining respect for the characters and their gameworlds.
All characters are copyrights and trademarks of the respective videogame companies that produce them. Art was created not for profit and is used solely for artistic enjoyment.

Lifemeter Wants You!
Lifemeter is currently accepting submissions for art and comics to run on the site!
What we ARE looking for:
A day in the life of a random videogame character. Events that could be in continuity even if you'd never really see it in the game.
What was going on in the heads of these characters day in and day out as they performed these tasks?
OR you could just do a cute, funny, or bad ass drawing!
What we are NOT looking for:
Drawings of videogame characters out of context or in the real world. We want to see them in their unique worlds. I know it would be funny to see Mario hanging out with Luciano Pavarotti or Link snowboarding...but that's not what this specific site will be about.
e-mail all submissions to:
submit-DOT-lifemeter-AT-gmail-DOT-com
SubmissionSpecs:
Color or Black and White Art is fine.
All art should be produced fairly hi-res if possible. We can convert everything to jpegs and gifs for the website.
Full Color Art:
300dpi Tiffs (LZW compression is okay) or PSD files.
CMYK preferred. It's easier to switch from CMYK to RGB for the web. When you convert RGB colors to CMYK you can often lose colors.
B&W Art:
Simple line art please scan as BITMAP 600dpi at 100%.
Anything with tones or texture scan as Grayscale 300dpi at 100%
As new art comes in, we'll post it to the livejournal which will also appear on the main page of the website. Then we'll slowly add to the gallery page which will be an archive of the most popular stuff. That way it can be a place for people to check out on a regular basis, link to, talk about etc.
Each piece in the gallery section has room for creators to put quotes underneath their piece. They can wax poetic about what the game means to them or explain why they made the choices they did in their interpretation. We will also link to all artists personal sites.
We are doing this for fun, not for profit and hopefully drawing things for the site won't keep people from working on their own stuff!
But maybe it will help bring new audiences to your work.
Also since we don't own these characters if any company asks us to take a picture or comic down we will oblige.
